MICROSOFT SURFACE PRO 4 CAMPAIGN (ADTV FILMS)
The Challenge: How do you convince a discerning creative audience that a productivity device is also a powerhouse for their craft? Microsoft tasked us with shifting the perception of the Surface Pro 4 from a business tool to an essential creative companion.
Our Insight: We found our answer in one of London's most universal experiences — the daily commute. Instead of seeing it as wasted time, we saw it as a powerful, untapped source of inspiration. The fleeting moments on the Tube, the rhythm of the city, the stories of fellow passengers — this was our creative canvas.
The Execution: We didn't just want to talk about creativity; we wanted to prove it. At ADTV Creative, we partnered with spoken word artist Suli Breaks and composer David William Hearn to create an original poem and musical score. The twist? The entire piece was composed, recorded, and produced in a single day, entirely on the Surface Pro 4 — using the city itself as our studio.
The result was "Ode to the Commute," a film that celebrated the creative spark found in the everyday journey. A testament to the idea that with the right tools, inspiration can be captured anywhere..
To demonstrate this point, ADTV Films created a three-and-a-half minute film which sees spoken work artist Suli Breaks recite a piece written about the hidden perks of the London commute to a composition put together by David William Hearn. The track was produced over the course of a single day using Microsoft’s latest offering targeted at creatives, the Microsoft Surface Pro.
